Shyanne Chew
Shyanne Chew began her artistic swimming journey as a competitor in the 2016 Asia Pacific Open Synchronised Swimming Championship. The following year, she competed in the State and National Age Group Synchronised Swimming Championships in Malaysia. In 2019, she competed her solo, duet, and team routines at the Australia National Championships. By 2021, Shyanne joined the Victoria High Performance Team, marking an important step in her career. From 2022 to 2023, she transitioned into coaching, leading multiple routines (solo, duet, mixed duet, and team) to notable medal achievements. In 2024, she had the privilege of coaching as a Development Coach for the Youth National Squad of the Australian team, founded InSync Artistic Swimming Club, and led her team to secure multiple medals at the Australia National Championships. Alongside her coaching career, Shyanne recently completed her degree in psychology and is currently pursuing further studies in the field. Her expertise in psychology enriches her coaching approach, enabling her to better understand the mental and emotional needs of athletes, foster resilience, and create a supportive environment for the club’s athletes.
She is also a certified professional in Australia, holding qualifications in First Aid, CPR, and Lifeguarding. These certifications highlight her commitment to safety and preparedness, ensuring she is equipped to handle emergency situations with confidence and expertise.
